What is Rhino Determination ??

The first thing people notice about this web page is the domain name. Rhino determination means that I intend to show you how to have determination with a full on charge towards personal development similar to that of a rhinoceros! That sounds great in theory but most people can't imagine themselves with that kind of un-distracted and unflinching strength. Before you conclude that you could never have that kind of power, please read on.

People generally follow the path of least resistance. I dont try to change this. In fact, I encourage people to follow the path of least resistance.

However, after my seminar, you may very well re-evaluate what that path is.

Sometimes the harder path becomes the easiest. Sometimes the easiest path becomes the hardest.

I don't shout motivation at you. I simply give you a very clear bird's eye view on common paths that most people face. I talk about the laws of cause and effect, and show you a simple 'brain exercise' that will start the ball rolling to help you achieve a fuller and more successful life.

Often during my seminar, people clearly see that the path they are currently following, will later become rugged and leads to a dead end street that will have disastrous results! Once they see this, they have all the drive they need to change paths!

This unexpected motivation can make the difference between making real changes in your life and sitting back and wishing for the changes to happen.

Over the last few decades, the popularity of new age spirituality or personal development has grown so fast, it resembles a runaway freight train. The drawbacks of this are that there are so many ideas that it's difficult on prioritizing. With all this confusion, changing your life can look a lot like playing golf but spending twelve hours deciding on what club to use!

There are hundreds if not thousands of life changing seminars already out there. What makes yours different?

I have spent several years on both sides. Years ago, life was the pits. Although I tried many life changing strategies, I also saw as many reasons why I couldn't turn my life around. I felt the world closing in on me and that my efforts to change were futile and amounted to nothing.

For about 20 years collectively, I hated the world. At the time, I thought it was fitting. I later discovered that the only reason the world seemed to hate me was because of my attitude!

Like many others, I have looked back on my life. I felt cheated for getting dealt a poor hand or at least I thought it was a poor hand because the problems were all I thought about. That's why I attracted so many! Unfortunate events were continually happening to me. I felt I was in a battlefield and often wanted to yell "INCOMING!" My attitude in general was, 'WHY ME?' I really felt rained on.

After a while, I started to investigate where all this rain was coming from. Showers and storms were happening on a regular basis, so I might as well learn about them. As I learned more, my interest grew. I did take time out from my investigation occasionally (to combat storms) but I would return to my search. After all, I was VERY tired of getting rained on. I wanted to know where it was coming from.

When I first heard the notion that some of the rain was coming from me, I dismissed it. The idea went away, but not completely. The thought stayed and nagged at me now and then. I eventually looked to see if there was any truth in it. As I found out more, the more excited I became. Not so much that I found the source, but that I would eventually learn how to control it! I was excited! I learned where this rain was coming from! It wasn't fate or bad luck. I was pissing in the wind!

Your reality is a reflection of you. While this idea has been around for centuries, it was still hard for me to clearly see it.

We've all heard about positive thinking. However, I couldn't understand why it works sometimes and not others. That is, until I remembered a toothpaste advertisement. It demonstrated fluoride sinking into teeth like colored liquid sinks into chalk. It's the same with positive thinking.

A person that is generally negative can whitewash a thin coat to make them appear positive. It's a good start! However, they aren't finished. If this thin coat makes them 3% positive and 97% negative, this is the reality they'll create.

If they focus on the 93% negative, they'll probably assess that positive thinking doesn't work.

However, if they were to focus on the 3%, it will eventually change to 4%. They can then see that the positive side of them is growing while the negative side is shrinking. If they continue to dwell on the positive, their positive/negative ratio will forever improve as will the reality they'll create.

When life gives you 10 reasons to cry, think of 50 reasons to smile.

If this sounds logical, that's great - so far but we have more to do.

I'll pause briefly to talk of another matter

John Steinbeck wrote 'Of Mice and Men'. It was a story set in 1936 about two drifters, Lennie and George. Lennie was mentally handicap. He was amazingly strong (almost immortal) and worked as hard as 4 men. However, he was very simple minded and it was difficult to try to explain anything logical to him. Without meaning to, he brought serious trouble onto himself and George would have to get him out of. Lennie had the mentality and physical strength similar to that of a rhinoceros! He was difficult to reason with because when he set his mind to something, it was as if nothing else existed!

I'd like to borrow these characters from John Steinbeck's novel to represent two sides of us. One would be logic and the other is emotion. You may disagree that you have part of you that's similar to Lennie. Before you dismiss the notion, have you ever heard yourself say things like:

Personal development is now mainstream. Not only are there thousands of books on it as well as seminars and weekend retreats, there are as many movies and songs written with self awareness in the theme. Oprah has made the subject of deeper feelings common ground thus making millions of people much more comfortable to explore within. With the abundant supply of information readily available, you'd think it would be easy to change your life.

The trouble is, you have both Lennie and George in control. While George is learning about personal development, Lennie is undermining most of George's efforts! Similarly, you may have tried hard to change your life. However, when you want to do something, the emotional part of you wants do something else. Unfortunately, emotion often wins!

Law of Attraction (LOA) is becoming common knowledge about how people attract most things around them whether they want the event or not. In fact, people are more emotional about things that they don't want. The trouble is, LOA works with emotion. This is why most are better at attracting difficulties than they are with things they want. This further strengthens my point that Lennie is in charge and brings trouble onto himself in spite of George's efforts!

When The Secret was published on November 2006, it took the world by storm and helped bring LOA into the spotlight. LOA has been around for centuries making it no secret. The author, Rhonda Byrne also supported that LOA works from emotion. Although the secret isn't a secret, it actually is a secret and will remain so until Lennie understands it.

Fact is, most all people want to improve their lives. However, sadly a small percent actually make the change.

The trick is to get emotion to work towards our efforts behind our life changing strategies

The way to do this is to understand pain, where it comes from, and how much pain is waiting for us if we continue on the current path.

Once our emotion (Lennie) understands this, we will have a determination for personal development that is as unstoppable as a rhinoceros!

Hence, you can have a motivation that you didn't think was possible!

"Deep within man dwell those slumbering powers;
powers that would astonish him, that he never dreamed of possessing;
forces that would revolutionize his life if aroused and put into action."

Orbison Swett Marden

The many years I spent in low times were very emotional. When I learned where many of the bad times were coming from, I became very emotional in personal development. In fact, I was so passionate about it that it became an obsession! I was so dedicated that for 10 years, two hours rarely went by without me thinking about personal development!
